PARIKSHA PE CHARCHA

29 January 2019

Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0

On Jan 29th 2019, the honorable Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi met the three pillars of Education System of India. The young students, their parents and the teachers in an open Summit –

‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’.

The Prime Minister of India presided over the meeting and answered the questions of students and parents from all over the country. Apart from Students, parents and Teachers, other dignitaries also attended the lively and interesting conference.

This program me was telecast live on Doordarshan channel at 11 a.m. RIS School provided an opportunity to all students to watch this program me directly in the school premises.

Mr. Narendra Modi openly answered the queries and doubts of many students across India. A few queries as such-

  1. Students today are addicted to online games, so what can be done about that?

Mr. Narendra Modi willingly replied that parents can also sit along their wards and monitor

their online activities instead of simply scolding them as internet also has educational uses too.

  1. Another question was that why parents are always demanding their wards to score high percentage in exams.

For that the P.M. answered that exams are not the end of life and marks are not everything.

Parents should not discourage students if they score less but keep motivating them to score

               more.

  1. Students also had a grievance that teachers praised only bright students and the other students felt disheartened.

So P.M. told the teachers that teachers must also focus and encourage the weak students as every child has unique talent. If someone is not good in studies, he/she may be creatively talented etc.

So the overall interaction was fun filled as one student jokingly remarked that he had his Annual exams next year and the Prime Minister also had his Final Exam i.e. Election next year.

Overall it was a great learning experience for one and all, who attended the program and who watched the program.
