The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi was observed on 31st AUG 2019.

Ganesh chaturthi is celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Ganesha, with his rotund belly, having the head of elephant and riding his mouse, symbolises wisdom and prosperity. And every year on Ganesh Chaturthi his idol is established denoting his arrival on earth. After 11 days of prayers and festivities, his idol is immersed in water depicting his departure from earth.

RIS celebrated this festival with lighting of lamp and offering prayers in front of Lord Ganesh. Thereafter students performed Ganesh vandana and devotional dance.

Some of the teachers presented stories before the students relating to birth of Ganesha and other tales related to him.

The program concluded with distribution of laddus or modak the favourite sweet of Lord Ganesh to all students and staff.
